Re: 1995 Cutless Supreme Problem

My cutlass was doing the same thing.. well is as far as the RPM's shooting up like crazy - in fact when idling it jumps up and down - so I'm curious as to what others have to tell you.. but two different mechanics told me two different things - (1) said it was the air intake manifold? And another said it was I'm having a spark plug wire mismatch... I know that doesn't help you in the least... but I'd like to hear what other's have to say as well. GL!

On 2 years, great, now if there is another problem you don't know this because the same lite is on, get it scanned for the most recent codes, check for vacuum leaks, basic diagnostics here!

Which one of these pertained to the car staying at higher RPM's? I had my cutlass scanned twice now with no errors or codes but it's still idling really rough.

Re: 1995 Cutless Supreme Problem

I have a 1995 olds cutlass with a cracked pcv valve boot.
When I move the boot or remove the pcv valve from the valve cover the engine rpm increase. Hope this helps.
