Cooling issue for 2003 Acura TL

I have an 03 TL that I have a cooling issue at idle. It started with just the A/C not blowing very cold at idle. Then it started heating up unless I turned off the A/C. Now on a hot day I have to shut off the engine at a red light in order to not overheat. Coolant reservoir is full.

It also has two codes. P0122 and P0740, neither of which appear to be cooling related.

Re: Cooling issue for 2003 Acura TL

p0122 is the throttle position sensor, check your wiring to the sensor and make sure it has volatage

p0740 is a code for your torque converter which is a transmission issue (not my strong suit) have a tranny shop check it

The over heating issue check to make sure your fan(s) are coming on? sounds like they may not be? Does teh temp go down if you turn heat on? If it does your thermostat is bad, lastly might have a partial clog in system somewhere
