The fuel pressure should be monitored while driving. Expect to measure anywhere from 37-45 PSIG depending upon load. If pressure is low there could be various reasons, including a filter, pump, regulator, or line problems. If the pressure is within the normal range the diagnosis would move to other parts of the system.
It is also worthwhile to note that the ignition system may operate normally while idling but fail under load if there are problems with spark plugs, wires, or coils.
