Ecu

this might be a stupid question, but where is the ECU in the car?
I got a 2000 civic ex 2dr. where is the ECU located?

not a dumb q. look on the passenger side (under the hood) for a little black box w/ numbers on the top of it. thats ur ecu.

any picture diagram? I'm trying to figure out what is what in my engine before i decide to do anything major on it...

there should be one in your owners manual, unfortunately everything isn't always labeled....

Sorry it's not under the hood. It's in your passenger side kick panel. Under your dash.

whoops...hahah i was thinking fuse box...gay gay gay...its inside in front of ur passenger seat. jus pull back the sideing a lil.

so THAT's WTF that sucker is! HA! I seen that thing before and thought it might be the ECU but then I thought it a damn stupid place to put it there next to ur feet. Huh, I never could get it off anyways. How do you remove it to open it and see what wires are where. (would have made the vtec light wiring easier, lol.

hey guys, if you find somebody willin to buy it for $400 minimum (I paid $500) then I will sell it. It was the first mod I ever put on my car besides spotters. It isn't EXACTLY what I wanted, but I paid too much for it to just take it off and shove it under the house. It's in perfect condition and perfectly color matched to the Milano red paint job. Find me someone, and when I get the $$$ I will send it, no Q asked.

But until then the wing stays and dammit I wasn't askin about it I was commenting on the ECU. WHEN ARE U PEEPS GONNA SHUT UP ABOUT IT!!!???

There's three nuts holding the cover plate on. Left, right and bottom. Pull out the ecu and unplug the harness.
