Headlights burning out.

Hi Gang,
My wife has a 2004 Accent and it seems her headlights burnout every few months.
The parking lights work fine it's the driving light part of the bulb that burns out.
New battery was installed a few months back but this was happening prior to that.
Could the bulb be getting too much voltage?
Could it be vibration?
Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Arty

Vibration is a possibility. Can you see the headlights shake when you go over bumps?
I had an old prelude that would go through headlights like crazy. The stops on the pop up headlights where out of adjustment. Once that was fixed the headlights stopped shaking and I never had a headlamp go out.

You are probably using the wrong bulb. Try switching to a long life bulb, and it'll more than likely fix your problem. We see it in here at our shop all the time. People think there is an electrical problem because they go through them so often, so they want it covered under warranty, when all it really is is that they are installing cheap bulbs. A bulb from the dealer lists at $17.71

Thanks for the advice.
The headlights do not seem to move with bumps.
I have been using Sylvania 9003XV XtraVision Halogen bulbs.
Next time they die I shall go and buy dealer bulbs.
Stay tuned....
