High Idle

Ok so, as the title states, i have a high idling issue.. however, its only when its cold. When i start the engine from a cold start it begins running at normal rpm(1500 on start-up) for a few seconds, then the idle jolts to 3,000rpm and remains there until the engine reaches operating temperature, once the engine is warm, the idle adjusts itself down to a normal steady state. Ive tested the coolant temp sensor, its good, same with the ISC. Its quite annoyting and very embarrassing...if anyone might have any ideas as to what could be causing this i would appreciate it.
Thanks, Sean

that is a strange issue. Im not really sure what else it could be. If its idling high then extra air has to be getting into the motor from somewhere. If it was a vac leak it should effect the car at all times rather just when cold, maybe try unpluging the ISC and see if it still happens. That way there is no way it can move, I would do this to see if there is a problem with the ISC/ECU. If it still idles high then there is a problem somewhere else

Couldnt it be a thermostat problem?
