So, Im looking for a few things Im having trouble finding.

First is flow rates on various sized turbos - 50 and 60 trims and maybe a decent write up on differences in the ratios of the compressor/exhaust housings along with why .63/.50, for example, is good.

Second is something I havnt looked too in depth for yet but maybe a link to tuning basics with dsm link if someone has it in their bookmarks. I plan on going to the forums to do some reading Wednesday on my day off.

Last is just some overall advice.
I have an engine capable of a good 600 hp, but im really looking for close to 500. I think I could hit 450 or close to it with a 50 trim but I dont want to go all out and spend massive amounts of money on just a turbo - suggestions?

I was thinking about getting this FMIC - http://stores.punishment-racing.com/-strse-159/Talon-fdsh-Eclipse-2g-short-route/Detail.bok - Ive read bad things going the ebay route with terrible pressure tests and what not. Once again - suggestions? Id prefer to spend a bit less for same quality but I have yet to find something comparable.

If anything I wouldnt mind buying a FMIC, some 850 or 950 cc injectors - once I figure out what sized turbo Im going to get, WG and Turbo used. What should I look for besides dings and what not in the FMIC and shaft play in the turbo?

If I think of anything else Ill just update this thread.

Well the link forums are super handy and the guys on there are very knowledgeable, if you have any questions just ask Tom or Dave. As for the FMIC's, I've heard good things about there pipe kits cause there just regular ol pipes, and you would just get some silicon couplers and then get some "T" clamps. You don't have to spend a fortune to get what you want. Once you are signed onto the ECMlink forums, check out the classifieds. There are some unbelieveable prices on there, the FIC 650s I bought I think I paid $135 for them on there.

And BTW, that is a really good price for the whole set up w/ the FMIC.

Thanks for the reply, its difficult some days to find time to read and research with working 5 days a week + school for chemical engineering 5 days a week haha.

Check out going with a holset turbo. You can get a good used holset turbo and the bolt on dsm housing for under $500 and have a turbo capable of 500-600 hp depending on which turbo you get.
