Ok i've posted here, on msd technical support forum, and still cant get an answer...if anybody happens to see this post and know the answer, please tell me...

Application-97 rs n/t w/ turbo

Problem-If I already have a fuel controller, and tach adapter, and I get a DIS box to tune the ignition, do I wire it into the tach adapter? Because when you look at the item desc. for the DIS box, it says "goes great with one of our tach adapters..." SinceI already have one, is it vital that I wire them together?:sly:

Thanks!

I have never used one of their systems before but I believe you use the tach adapter to make the stock tach work again. The signal coming from the ECU goes to the MSD box and then you connect your stock tach wire to the adapter.

ok, i finally got an answer from the msd tech. support forums...heres what the guy wrote...

"The Dual Ignition adapters that are used with the MSD DIS boxes are used to restore the "kickback" signal that the coil normally produces and the factory ECM uses this for the fuel injection system. The adapter you received from SplitSecond should be something different. I was not able to locate this on thier website.

Would you be able to provide the wiring instructions for the adapter?"

and i replied that i would send the info he requested....
