Cluster Issues

Ok I got a question for all of you to see if anyone can help me out. I bought a 1994 Eclipse GS non turbo from a guy and he did a motor swap with a 1993 2.0 DOHC 4L non turbo. Now he also put in a cluster that was for a turbo engine when there is no turbo. Would having that cluster be causing any problems for the car..like its over heating and high idle???? so anyone that knows something about that please let me know thanks much

The turbo cluster wont be causing any problems but the boost gauge will not work on it. As long as everything else works fine, speedo, tach, coolant temp, I would leave that cluster in. The over heating could be a few problems. I would first check to see if the radiator fan is coming on, then change the thermo stat and flush the coolant system. That should fix the overheating issue. Now for the idle, check for vac leaks.
