i have a 2001 accent with 60k miles. this weekend for the second time since it was new i replaced my front pads with new hyundai parts.
problem is my left front brake assembly is overheating to the point you cannot even touch the tire rim. my right side is warm not hot. i suspect a siezing caliper piston.
anyone have thoughts on this problem?

It's almost certain the rotor is getting stuck. I'd replace it with a reman unit if I were you. They're pretty cheap, you just have to bleed the whole brake system to replace it, but that's a good thing to do.

Sorry, caliper getting seized.

sorry it took so long to get back to this thread.
both calipers were bad and were replaced under warranty:>) i replaced the pads myself w/OEM bought wholesale
would you believe both rear wheel cylinders were next? replaced free under warranty. i replaced the shoes w/OEM
next my oxygen sensor went bad. for some reason my hyundai extended warranty wouldn't cover it.
dealer wanted $!25 parts and labor. saved by buying on eBay and doing it myself.
my inexpensive scan tool confirmed the problem and cleared the code. no more "check engine" light
i have 60k miles and a year of warranty left.
timing and all pulley belts were replaced by dealer for mucho bucks:>(
i recently replaced my transmission filter(Oem) and
oil for the second time. transmission shifts beautifully.
spark plugs were changed with champion.
i'm looking to buy E3 brand plugs but they are $5.95 each

this car runs well and i hope it lasts another 10 years.
