I need some advice on my car... I have a 94 trans am and i started the car today let it run for a good 10 minutes then i was backing out of my driveway and i gave it some gas to move and it wheel hopped like a bitch... After that it completely shut off and all it does now is crank over and will not start... I know i need a tune up but that wont cause the car not to start will it? Is there a fuel cut off switch that could have gotten tripped from the wheel hop? PLease help me...

Yeah, we've been doing some server upgrades and some posts kind of slipped through the cracks it seems. :sorry:

No, the is no 'inertia switch' (cut-off). Perhaps some damage was done to the pump wiring harness?

OK......Do you have spark?? pull a plug wire and put it on a old plug ( you will need help..some one to crank the engine) be sure to ground the plug......a dark place is better to see the spark..if there is one...check several plugs..

Next ....do you have fuel...again have some one listen in the gas filler to hear if the fuel pump runs...when you turn the key on.... Fuel pressure check...you need a gage !!!

Changed the fuel filter recently ????

Good place to start....Cheers Mate...Dr JJ
