Warning Messages

I was driving my cobalt and it cut off as I was making a U-Turn. It displayed two messages on my dash info center. 1. Engine Disabled 2. Eng Pwr Reduced ( Engine Power Reduced). I took it to the dealer as the check engine light went on last week as well. They only found an emission code and the other two messages I saw displayed did not show up. They had me pick it up saying it was fine and I drove for about 15 minutes and they same displayed. If any has had that happen or knows what is wrong I would really appreciate any advice.

i think its part of the anti theft system in the key switch . check the owners manual

Yup, it's either that or a chafed wire in the steering column or perhaps the electric assist power steering pulled the system voltage so low, it threw the car into limp mode (battery could be on it's way out).
