oil on spark plugkronic2802 11-22-2008, 03:54 PM i have a 2002 mitsubishi galant and i was changing the plugs and i came acorss a plug that had oil on it i was wornding if anyone can tell me what causes that and how to fix it please help HUNTERPAUL 11-22-2008, 05:47 PM If I remember correctly the plugs are down in a hole through the valve cover. The oil is from the gromets on the valve cover that needs to be replaced. I would also replace the plug wires or boots, the oil damages them and will cause ignition fire to jump and cause a missfire. kronic2802 11-24-2008, 10:33 PM If I remember correctly the plugs are down in a hole through the valve cover.
