iPod for '07 Highlander

Has anyone modified their stock stereo to use their iPod? I'd like to do so, but want it set up so that the iPod plays directly through the stereo and is charged while playing-I don't want to use a modulator or a cassette adapter.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

vais technology has one that works great. install is also quite easy (DIY). I put mine in in under 15 minutes.

How did you access the back of your Highlander stereo? I don't want to do any damage to the dash.

Really simple:

1. Remove the top vents (stick a plastic putty knife and pry off). This will allow access to the top 2 bolts.
2. Remove the lower trim drivers side ( 2 screws I believe)
3. Pry out the entire lower section (this is one very large piece...yeah it is just clipped in and will come with a little force.
4. Once the lower piece is out, you will access to the 2 lower bolts.
5. Remove the 4 bolts and the unit comes right out. Follow the directions for the Vaistech install.

JVC makes an iPod adapter for cars (~$50 at Best Buy), but I'm not sure if it will work since I haven't seen the back of my Highlander's stereo. Here's a link to the installation instructions: http://resources.jvc.com/Resources/00/00/93/LVT1475-003A.pdf

Does the Highlander's receiver have the necessary jack on its back to accept the plug on the JVC adapter?

Thanks.
