I have a 1986 trooper II can you help meBlurrybuffalo 01-30-2008, 10:19 AM Hey am new to this. so i was just going to see if anybody could help me. i have a 1986 isuzu trooperII it runs great 248,000 miles on it. the engian has been rebuilt. but i was going to see if any of you new of a place where i can get parts for it like new doors and stuff like that. and if you know how i can beef up the engian a little bet to. its a 2.3L 5 speed. thanks for any of the help. wv6z 02-06-2008, 03:22 AM Here's just one of a million places to look for body parts. http://shop.carbodyparts.net/search.html?make=isuzu&model=trooper&year=1986&part_type= Now, as far as pepping up 2.3L Trooper goes, there are a few options; a) Always travel down hill. b) Use moonshine instead of gas. c) Buy a roll back wrecker and put the Trooper on it. Seriously, there really isn't a lot you can do to pep up such a small motor pulling such a heavy vehicle. I have a 3.2L DOHC in my '97 Trooper and it's not what I would call 'peppy'. :grinno: atfdmike 02-08-2008, 11:50 AM Hi and welcome to the forum. As you have seen, your engine does not lend itself to a lot of modifications. I believe there is a Delta camshaft and some headers available for your engine. Try googling Independent 4X4, they specialize in Isuzus. I don't know if a Weber carb is available for your engine, I think the 2.6 can get one. HTH Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2013
