I just got my 1999 3.8L V6 Firebird last summer. The only modifications I have done to it was putting on a new-gen firebird decal. I enjoy my car a lot, but wish to modify it more. I was wondering if you guys could give me any usefull links or modifications that would be cool for my car. For the most part I have been looking into a new computer, exhaust system and possibly the installation of a V8 engine. Thanks.

Welcome.
Theres a LOT of info out there for modding your car, just search for it.
But here are the steps for swapping a V8 cheaply and easily.
1) save some money
2) sell your car
3) buy a trans am
4) enjoy
Seriously, a V8 swap requires a new everything. It takes a lot of time and money. Just save and get a v8 car at some piont if you want one, much easier.

It would be helpfull if you or someone could give me tips on my main question. Sending a reply like that that doesn't really have anything to do with modifying my car doesn't help me. I guess I must be mistaken that when I post a question it will be answered.

Actually he did partially answer your question, since you did mention that you were possibly considering swapping in a V8. His recommendation was to just trade the car in for a V8, since that would save you a lot of money, time, and headaches.
There really is no reason to look into swapping out your computer. Just get HPTuners and retune it to your desired specs. For exhaust, I would recommend a Carsound Hi-flow Cat, and a Magnaflow Catback. I would also suggest you get a SLP Cold Air intake. This way your car will be able to breath better, along with being eble to exhale better with the new exhaust.
