Well, they're on. I've replaced the ABS sensor, and this did not solve the problem. The truck is getting embarassingly out of registration and I have neither the time nor the money to go hunting through the wiring or replacing the computer in the hope that it fixes the problem. Brakes work fine, as far as I can tell. Is there any simple way to disable the dash lights so I can get the car inspected and egistered and return to this problem at some later date? Thanks alot.

you can pull the abs fuse on the rh wheel well....wont hurt braking but no abs. Did you check fluid level in master cylinder (ha ha ...boris badenov)?
It will also illuminate the ABS light if it is too low.
Thanks.

Thanks for the response. Plenty of fluid. Pulled the fuse, light is still on. Any other ideas? There are no specialists around here, so this is going to be a dealer job = $$$$$. Thanks again.

My Brake and ABS light have been on since I purchased the vehicle. They turn on and off at their own leisure, but simultaneously. I don't think its anything to worry about. I have had my 1995 Trooper for 5 years now, and they haven't stopped. Good luck fixing it. Let me know if you figure it out.
