Help please calipers

Okay. I had to bye this becouse my sho broke. I must say for $350.00 and 205,000 mile the cars runs pretty good. I need to buy a car to get to work any who Its a 1990 240dl (1) wheres the fuse box? I too have that overdrive issue. (2) How the hell do I bleed the brakes.....there is 3 bleeder screws on the front right caliper????????? Also two steel brak lines going to it. I never seen a caliper like that? Is the caliper some how devided like into two channels or something it has four small piston on the caliper that why I ask if the caliper has like 2 channels or what ever, does like one line feed half and the other line feed the other half..Hope Im explaining this right. My right fron I put pads on and going to do the left in a minute..One of the Any info would be great....

I cant help with info on the brakes, but it sounds like you have ABS brakes. You might want to get the Bentley pub co. manual for the 240s. I would advise beginning to soak the brake bleeders with penetrating oil, so they have been soaked for a few days before you try to unscrew them. Be sure to only use a 6 point wrench when loosening bleeder screws.
For the fuse box - on our 1988 240 its next to the front door hinge pillar beside the drivers left foot. Its behind an access panel. Volvo fuses of the type used in our 88 (the common German type since the early 60s) were a problem. I fixed several intermittent problems by removing fuses, scraping the holders clean, and putting in new un-corroded fuses.

Okay thanks. The bleeder screws are to bad they loosened easy...(surprised) I did use pen.oil...........I wanted to see if you know where the Over drive relay is? My light is staying wich means it is disengaged. I read that it is a common problem and some people had some suggestion on how to fix it. I have read some (how to fix) Some thing about jumping the relay wich would keep over drive engaged at all times.....Its my first volvo I didn't like it at first but its growing on me for some reason it has 205000 miles and runs pretty good.....just a few small things.....If you know where the OD relay is it would help allot.....

There's a correct sequence to bleeding the three valves on the front calipers. It has three because it's a two circuit system, there's two pistons instead of on on the fronts. The do this in case one circuit fails, you still have some brakes on the other piston. I don't know the correct sequence off hand, you need a book to get it. I think it's like this: Lower nipple first, Top nipple, outer, next. Top nipple, inner to finish. Do the same on the other side.
