I have the 2k model in Aztec Red, and i DEARLY love my X, but i was wondering who has that new model with the round headlights and what does everyone think about it?
I kinda like the rounded hood.

Well, with the new front end you inherit the ability to buy a supercharged model for one. You also get a redesigned interior (dash and console), slightly improved seats, foot-operated parking brake, and a few new color choices.
Not enough for me to consider upgrading, and I don't much care for the new look anyway.

Keep the 2000. It's starting to appear to be the most trouble free version. (The 2K red is destined to be the classic. ;) )
I think the new lights and bulge make the new Xterra look like Herbie the Love Bug. Also Nissan stopped making them out of Durasteel so we'll see how the new ones fare with rust. The floor e-brake makes offroading pretty much impossible with a standard transmission.
Also I wouldn't touch a S/C version with gas prices going up again and a war on the horizon just to have some pickup over 4k.

Good point about the Durasteel, I'm EXTREMELY impressed with how my rockers have held up despite the fact I've scraped 'em good and even torn the pinch seam open.
