Quick Question????Sindonesia 12-07-2002, 07:31 AM Ok most people that drive Civics in my area have 17's on there car but the ones that don't just pull the hub caps off there ride. What I want to know is why????? IMO this looks stupid as hell. Can someone tell me the point? Again this is just my 2cents, maybe they know something I don't. Please fill me in on what I'm missing. civicHBsi91 12-07-2002, 11:02 AM on some cars it looks better, like mine i did it because i did like it better and all of the hubcaps were cracked or broken and i wasent about to goto honda and buy some new ones they are like 150$ and others.....i dunno maybe they think the same civicHBsi91 12-07-2002, 11:12 AM oh yeah and tire shine, i put tire shine on mine they make them look shiny, it helps to clean them 1st too, i cleaned mine 2 times each with a brillow pad and then just put some tire shine on there whipe it all around and your set Sindonesia 12-07-2002, 11:58 AM I was just wondering, because I had to do it for a week due to a flat on my tire and I don't have another 17" rim in the trunk. It looked stupid with my donut tire so I changed them all and couldn't find my lugs to hold the hubs on. I will say that when I took off my 17" I felt like my car was running faster. My rims are to heavy. I understand the not buying new ones, that price is way to high. For that price you can get another mod.:frog: civickiller 12-07-2002, 03:14 PM around here people who run stock rims with the hub caps off are racers. thats how we determine if that person is a racer. thats how my car is, it looks just like civichb91si's car. thats how everyone around here thinks, you wanna be know as a racer, drive around with your stocks iwth your hubcaps off. i dont know anyone with 17s who races Sindonesia 12-07-2002, 04:30 PM Well then this guys my wife works with is a idiot then because his car sucks balls and it's slow as shit. He is kinda a follower. I was really just wondering because I have seen alot of it lately. I agree alot of people with 17's don't race. Well to each there own, thanks for explaining it. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
