??Engine Code??WTF??

Hey there everyone, first off all i have always admired the eclipse and I finally got one today. I just bought a '98 RS!! Yeah, lets hear it for me!!LOL
But seriously, i got a code already. It reads like this:




DTC (Codes)

P0443
EVAP Emmission
Control System
Purge Valve C Fault

DTC Pending (Codes)

No Faults Detected.




Seriously, WTF does this mean? If anyone can post a picture showing what i need to fix, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

Was the cel on when you bought the car? I would just erase it and see if it comes back.

Yeah it was but the guy wasn't to convinced about turning the light off.

Well reset the cel with an obd2 scanner if you have one of by disconnecting the battery. If it comes back then you will have to figure out what exactly is causing it.

Well i don't have one....that is yet. But I guess I'll run down to the local Discount Auto Parts and see if the guys there can help.

I haven't had time to go get the CEL turned off. Does anyone have a picture of this Purge Vlave or whatever the problem is?
