I have been looking at a used 06 Legacy sedan. It is a basic sedan with an auto trans. I am looking for an automobile with a lot of reliability...i dont want to purchase a car and stick a lot of money into it in a few years. I feel like choosing a legacy because of size, prize and what i have heard and read about its reliability. But i have heard from two individuals to stay away. Anyone have any comments about this automobile...such as what to watch out for and such. And if not a legacy what is a comperable car within the same prize range.
thanks

not sure why 2 people told you to stay away..?? did they own this exact car and have problems? i have almost 300K mi on my 93 legacy. granted its older, it still runs like a champ and doesnt burn any oil. Id say go for it, you wont regret it

Not aware of any reason to stay away from an '06 Leggy - sounds like you're talking to a bunch of anti-import folks, in which case you can tell them the Leggy is US built.
I've driven both '06 wagon and sedans, both are awesome cars.
