hey, everyone
I have a 2003 Hyundai Accent and just changed my oil the other day. Now when first starting my car it kinda jerks forward really quickly. Its sort of like if you were to step on the gas really quick then immediately step on the breaks. Eventually after driving for a little it works normally. Any idea what it is, and how to stop it?
thanks

Hi Bill,
My car does the same sometimes. I think it must have been the cold weather. Since the warm weather have arrived i haven't had that problem any more. Try running your car for awhile before driving it to warm the engine.

Actually I brought it to a dealership and it turns out the guy who changed my oil at this gas station had no idea what he was doing (must have been new or something). He had removed my transmission fluid, which explains the jerking, and he still added oil, which would explain the smell and smoke. So i had way to much oil and no tranmission fluid. Fortunately I didnt take it far like that or I coulda messed up my transmission pretty bad. But i took it back to the gas station and they fixed everything (The guy made some excuse that hed never worked on a foreign car like mine) but u might want to check the level on your transmission fluid Don, maybe itll help with ur problems
thanks

my car was jerking quite frequently. I didn't know what was wrong, until my brother in law told me to get myplugs checked. So my husband changed it and it works good as new now.
