:confused: What is the fastest del sol you've seen?... how fast does it run?

i have seen a lot of turbo sols online, i assume those are pretty fast. there was one i found that was running 12's N/A. he had everything done to that car that could be done. changed out the b16 block for the b18 for starters, then moved on to changing out every other part. i have not had the pleasure of seeing anything faster than my stock vtec around where i live. im sure they exist, i just havent been able to see how fast they are.

www.darksol.com click showcase and look at his numbers on his sol. He runs high 12's on a all motor setup. Probably sols around in the 11's with turbo's,etc. , but in Japan there is a sol called TOP FUEL SOL that does 10's, high 9's.

Here is one sol that has surfaced recently, but no numbers yet that I know of.

With enough money, the right engine/suspension/wheel/tire/weight reduction setup, and the drag skill, sure. But to reach 10's would require a good deal of money. That's why most if not all professional draggers have a sponsor of some sort to help with costs, ie build up and help with break downs.

There is no Holy Grail of engine design. The engine builder's creed used to be "There is no replacement for displacement". Perhaps now a more appropriate phrase is "There is no replacement for displacement, except technology".

Fastest delsol I have seen is a pearl blue 95 sohc si delsol here. It is pushin an apexi turbo stage 3 clutch a whole bunch of other goodies and a 75 shot of Nitrous, Best run i have seen him pull is a 12.9, keep in mind i said a whole bunch of other shit, he is very discrete about his shit and doesnt tell anyone what he has, found out from another source... hee hee
