Radiator fans cycle when heat turned on

2000 Protege - When car is started (cold), and the heater fan is turned on, the radiator fans cycle on and off :screwy:; with heater fan off, they function normally, don't come on unless coolant is hot. Coolant Temp Sensor is fine, 2700 ohms with cold engine. Not a serious problem, but takes longer to get coolant up to temp and heat the car. Any ideas??

On most cars setting the heater to the defrost position turn the AC on and the fans will run. Try the heat in one of the positions that doesn't defrost. That is normal for most cars & trucks, and yes it will take longer for the engine to reach normal temperature. Of course if you don't have AC my answer isn't correct.

Thanks!!! Doesn't cycle when it's not in defrost mode! I just put a remote starter in, and I was afraid it was causing a problem in the PCM.
