I got a new cd player and speaker and instaled them with no problem, but now everytime I turn the player on it blows a fuse or somthing and now i cant start my car.I'm thinking its the wiring(because i didn't buy an adapter plug)but all the speakers work.My quesiton is that are the wires screwed up or what and if they are what colors(in the cavy-99)are what?thanks for your time:banghead:

you were that cheap where you couldnt buy the harness for 15 bucks? well we know that red is power, yellow is continuous on, orange is illumination, black is ground (which you probably dont have hooked up) blue with white stripe is remote turn on. umm yea

When I had my Cavalier, I thought I was having the cd player "professionally" installed. I don't know what they did, but the cd player was constantly blowing the fuse to my dome light. I went back and rewired the whole thing myself and didn't have another problem. I suggest using a harness as well :)

i have the ground wire in and i can't get a adapter pug because my gf decided in all her wisdom to cut the wires to short on the plug to the original player.

I bought the $15 adapter kit and everything just worked like a charm, except that my CD player doesn't recognize when i turn my car on, so i had to take one of those wires and attach it to the fuse box....
