i have a 1993 sabaru legacy the motor is good the problem is that the crankshaft has chiped where the key lock goes for the timing gear,,i pieced it together last year by putting two heavy duty bolts in the giming gear thru the center pully i had 2 holes drilled thru the pully, the car ran good for about a year then this summer the gear and the pully worked it self loose again( i think that was my fault cause i constantly put more torque on it by running the air conditioner. any ideas please help!!!!!

Oh boy! Sounds like some real gud engeneeering. Professionally the answer would be a resounding NO!. If just the AC adds enough load to break what you have rigged then it is NOT EVER going to last.
For a lot of reasons including crank balance and the REASON the crank was damaged in the first place.
At any rate to get you a good reply you should post a picture or two of what you're up against then I and others in the forum might be able to suggest a course of action.

Hve a shop weld it on? Other than replacing the crankshaft I can't think of a better solution (not that welding it is exactly the greatest)
