speed limiter

Do 6th gens have a speed limiter on them. I'm instaling a rsm and I need to know, thanks.

my 00 LX shuts me off at 120

i don't even think that your SOHC can even go past 120mph. and an civic LX going up to 120? that must of have taken ages for you to get there. it took me a good 20+ seconds to get from 100mph to almost 120 in my si when i still had the SOHC.

YES, 6th gen (take note, '96 - '00) Civics stop accelerating at 120mph, unless you are on a hill, and you can get it up to about 125....

Rice-Destroyer, this applies to ANY 6th gen D16 SOHC Civic, weather it be DX, LX or EX. CX I'd highly doubt could reach 120 though, but all others will, that much I can verify for a fact.

Yeah mine shut me off at liek 122 I was going down a hill hehe. It sucked ass. I was annoyed a little my friends shut off at 125 oh well.

mine shut off at 115mph. it just wouldn't go any faster. :mad: it kept overrevving when i got up there (i have a 00 civic ex Auto though).
