alright i need to know some stuff real quick....heres what happened..
i own a 97 honda civic and it was run into by some idiot...why do i say that, its cuz my car was PARKED!!!!!...lets just say it came out non-drivealble ....none the less i have been wanting to convert my front end to a 99-00 because i wanna get the type r headlamps, and type r grill and also like the greddy front lip and wanted to throw in the type r foglights.
NOW what i need to know is if i need to get a 99-00 hood as well and if i have to change any of the body brackets to mount the 99-00 bumper and headlamps...

The body frame is the same if I'm not mistaken. You need a new hood, front bumper and fenders and of course new head lights. Thats about it. Everything I believe bolts right up.

hmm...i'm not so sure about that. because when i did my conversion(99-00 on a 92-95) honda asked specifically what year front lot(whole front frame piece) i needed. and when i told him 99-00 he also asked me is it for 2 door, 4 door, or SI. so i asked him is there a difference and he told me yes there is. but i never asked what the difference was because he didn't seem like he wanted to talk with me. so yeah, just ask around first before you get yourself into some trouble.:smoka:

I have a friend that helped a guy put a 2000 SI front end onto an 93 civic LX.

I guess that really doesn't help you though, that's too old. :bloated:

everything doesn't bolt on when you're talking about the 99-00 conversion for 95 and earlier civics. you have to cut the fenders to fit the headlamps or you can cut the edge of your fenders off and weld the 99's on. the hood doesn't quite fit either so you also have to cut a bit of the support off so that it doesn't sit on top of the firewall.
