Need help! About Sponsoring!

My friends and I have been into the racing scene for about 2 years and we want to get a clan, group, gang, whatever you want to call it, going. We have noticed that some of the other "car clans" are sponsered by various local shops and alot of internet stores. 1. Can someone give me some in depth knowlage on what all goes on and how it works? 2. How much do you recieve from each company? 3. Will I have to enter in local races? or can i just still drag illegaly? If someone could help me out I would appreciate it ALOT!

first, you have to have your team together, and a webpage is usually a must.
second, you have to find a company/business that is willing to sponsor your team.
the way my team did that is by getting a friend to do it. actually it was a guy that used to post here, he had a car stereo business. They don't usually give you money. The deal we had worked out is to advertise his name and business and he gave us discounts on the products he was pushing.
third-we didn't have to go to any races or anything. That would help, but I don't think it's required. Just get their name out there and advertise for them.

That sounds right. I know some places will give club discounts. If you bring them a lot of business, they'll probably hook you up with a discount on parts. If you're gonna try to get a sponsorship from a proposal, you'll have to send in a proposal. I was gonna send in a proposal to Tenzo R for some rims, but I SERIOUSLY doubt I would get it. Let me know if you want anymore info on sponsorships. I'm certainly no wizard on them, but I know a little.
