I got my car back in February. It's now got 83k miles on it and the timing belt needs to be replaced soon. What's the most cost effective way for someone who knows didilly shit about engine workings to replace it?

well from i have heard (i have a 95 civic) u have to pull the whole engine out. Now if you are like me (know very little about the mechanical side of cars) i don't feel safe about or having the means to pull the engine. That is what you have to do to get to it. IT sucks but you might have to suck it up and pay 500 bucks or so to get it done. Unless you have a friend who knows cars.

you dont have to pull the motor...just the drivers side motor mount and some other stuff, if your not a competent mechanic i would suggest having it done though.....
