Instrument Panel and Shifter Won't Light

I'm at a loss, I've replaced the highlight and dimmer switch in my 1992 Nissan Stanza and I can't get the instrument panel or shifter to light up. I've also checked the blub and they are fine as well as the fuses. Any suggestion and help would be greatly appriciated.
