Are u talking about trying to find the stock motor and ecu that came in the car? On the ecu, it'll be listed under the barcode (P29, P75, etc). On the block the engine code is on the left side between the block and the tranny.

I know in the US, the vin number contains the motor info as well. The 4th, 5th, and 6th digits represent the body, line and engine type (EH2, EG8, etc) Then if you are not familer with vin codes, you have to figure out what the numbers represent.

Neither are printed or stamped anywhere else on the car. Figure out your chassis code, then either do a search online or find a manual for your car. I'm sure it will be a little more difficult, because most of the info online is for either usdm or jdm cars.

As I said before, look at the VIN number, it'll be stamped on the firewall in the engine bay and on the dash and should be on a sticker in the drivers side door jamb. The 4th, 5th, and 6th digits of the VIN number represents the body type, trim line and engine type (EH2, EG8, etc) of the civic. It won't tell you the ECU type, but if you know the engine type it shouldn't be hard to figure out the ecu.
