I have a 91 Stanza - Automatic

I get loud clicking sound coming from my steering column, it's tempo is constaint no matter what the driving speed/condition
it comes and goes at random but only when the keys are in the "on" position
some times it doesn't come back for days and now it came back this is driving me nuts

Note: when the clicking comes and I am in park, there is also a clicking sound coming from the shifter. When this happens the shifter tends to lock, I have to press on the bypass switch.

Any ideas before I take appart the stearing column

Oh and I need some ideas on the following as well - sometimes the car won't start - not turnover or anything. I'd shift in neutral and it would start. today even in neutral it won't start. I love electrical problems. Any ideas where to start
