i just went to store and on the way theri i decided to repedily step on the accelerator and back off. the car would respond for the first 2 times then the car just felt like it wanted to stall . could theis be something with the fuel, or a sensor? i have a 1991 Sunbird Le 4cyl. 2.0L TBI OHC. i did this on the way back and it did the same thing.:frown:

i just sat in my driveway and steped on gas like i did and it died. i showed my dad and he says it is flooding too easely so it has to be a sensor.

I believe you can remove your cat as long as you are out of the manufacturers warranty, and dont have E-check

I plan on making mine go the way of the Dodo, as soon as the header is done being fabbed up. 210FWHP all motor with that little guy. It will also boost my power with the M90.

think i figured out wut is wrong, it is either a dirty fuel injector or a fuel injector going bad. i must be dumping gas into the other cylinder's and causing it to flood, cause it sounds like it is not breathing right through the exhasust like it is missing in the bad cylinder that is not getting enough fuel. i just want to know how hard are these to change out if this does go bad. and the bad thing is ill have to check all the fuel injectors when i do have it go bad.

umm, it's only got one fuel injector anyway...it's TBI.

TBI means it's got basically a carb with a single injector instead of the floatbowl and needle jets.

remove the air cleaner, look at the TB, the black thing in the center, over the butterfly, with the harness, that's the injector. I had a TBI 2.2L on my 91 Cav. the injector sprays fuel onto the butterfly at idle and it gets sucked in through the tiny holes in the butterfly.

The car will really run like crap if it's dirty or going bad. Like no power or starting at times.

i was thinking about the spot where the fuel oges into the cylinder. damn thats right it gets sucked in by the cylenders vaccume it creates.ive noticed a little bit of change in the way its been spraying into the TBI. and i was thinking about replacing it soon.

GOD I FEEL SO STUPID, it must be this world of new technology and new cars.
