As far as I know the only thing that needs a code is the OEM stereo. The computer should work fine. GL

what i mean adjust is : my friend installed b16a4 engine model 96 but his car is 92 dx. compelet swap harnes and ecu and auto tranny . but it did not start. the macanic man say it not start because the ecu has lock code that will not make the car start unless use the orignal key which came with the engine. so how can i cancel that lock code ?

I think your mechanic friend is confused. Such a system is (was) used in GM cars and other cars but I am not aware of a similar system used on Civics. If the engine turns over easily I suspect ignition or fuel problem. GL

Hany, I always thought that the 7th gen civics were the first generation to use immobilizers. Before that, civics did not use immobilizers. There should not be any issues with ECU locking up due to wrong key use.
