I got my 5 spd sunfire stuck in a snow bank and the clutch stuck to the floor after i hit the snowbank, so I thought it was just frozen linkage or something. I put it in the shop on the lift and let alll the snow melt off but my clutch is still stuck to the floor, it springs back to normal postion and when u push it in a little it springs back to the floor and sticks. On the lift I looked in the little whole in the bottem and I noticed the clutch disks where stuck together.... Also when its at the floor the transmision makes a lil noise and when you pull the clutch back up the noise goes away... Does anybody know whats going on with it? or can help me ???

you proably did more than politely tap that snowbank
because 'fires transmission is actually part of the axle. you probably roughed it up and bent or shifted something. it sounds to me like there is some internal damage near the clutch plates. you probably should take it to a pro and have them do a thorough inspect. it can probably be fixed with only a couple new parts. don't dawdle, If something decides to break loose. your leisurely sunday drive will cost you
