There is a light with an exclamation mark on it constantly on at the display next to the clock. I currently drive a first generation 1995 Mitsubishi Diamante, can someone give me some clue as to what is wrong? The light is orange with a gear like circle surrounding a exclamation mark.

The Exclamation Mark symbol is likely the tire air pressure warning symbol which is displayed as an exclamation mark inside the cross section of a tire, with the tread on the bottom of the symbol. You might have confused the tread with sprockets, and thus, assumed it is a gear type logo. The 2nd generation Diamantes have this feature next to the clock but it is non-functioning in North American models. The template is visible when sunlight is directly contacting the clock area but I do not think there is a bulb behind it in North American models. The more comprehensive and advanced Diamante version, the Japanese and Australian Magna and Verada, likely have a tire pressure monitoring system along with the 3000 GT model derived AWD, AWS and turbocharged engine.
