tranny is probably shot. thats wut im guessing. check the trany fluid maybe it empty.

First of all is this a manual or automatic? If it is a manual the clutch may be bad or out of adjustment. Usually automatics will not grind even when bad. Also the manual may have a bad syncronizer that is causing this problem if so it will need to be taken apart and repaired. If it is an automatic take it to a shop and have it checked with a trans capable scanner. That should give some indication as to what is going on. Good Luck and Welcome to AF!
