change the air intake system

ok i had a weird idea to do the below:

i would take off the stock intake plastic piping first. i would then get a connector and pipe to attach an intake on the left throttle body. On the right side i would connect the MAF and put an intake directly on that.

my question is if it is possible for the MAF sensor to be on only one side and the engine and for the whole thing it to operate properly. I know i am going to need to get a pipe made to hook up the extra line next to the MAF sensor.

i think i have seen a pic of this done but im not sure.

yes, it's possible, but you have to reprogram your ECU for the adjusted air difference (maf signal must be cut in half on ecu) its a fairly common procedure. im about to run dual intake in my J. once my pipes come in the mail.

I am in the process of having a 3inch aluminum y pipe being fitted with a 3' striaght pipe utilizing the stock intake opening but I need some input
