Just replaced the window regulator on the driver's door (rebuilt by Mirror Guard Co. in Brooklyn, NY (718) 851-0100 http://www.onetobuy.bizland.com/id102.htm) for $65 including shipping.) Works great. Also had the passenger Bose Speaker and amplifier rebuilt by a company in FLA. Works great. Kudos to Carlos for posting instructions on taking door apart and replacing speakers, etc.

Two weeks later there is a loud crack/pop in the rear driver's Bose speaker and the power cuts off, the antenna lowers, etc. Sometime later the power will go back on and the antenna will rise and everything is normal...until it shuts off again.

Point is I had both front door panels off and had to remove both speaker /amplifiers. However, they are sealed units and the connectors don't allow for mis-connections on reinstallation.

Has not been in rain or wet since the window-regulator was replaced.

My first thought is to remove the driver's rear speaker -- disconnecting it and see if the problem disappears. Obviously the loud crack/pop is not normal.

Anybody have any thoughts.

BTW I have 205,000 miles on it, runs great. looks great, minimal maintenance other than as described above. Passes the emissions tests better than most any other new car.

Also, it calls for premium gasoline but I have been using regular for 5 years and can't tell the difference. NO pings, etc.

Appreciate your help on the radio power unit.

Many thanks,

Frank
