removing interior door panel

i have a 96 sunfire. the wire that connects both handles to the latch that clicks the door shut is shot. i need to remove the door panel to take a look at it. any advice on how to get the panel off? thanks

should be little plastic fastners. just pop them out

There are philips head screws and the plastic trees that hold the panel on.If you got crank windows you will need to take that off also.
