trunk release

i have a 2000 sunfire, 2.2L, 4 door. i was just wondering if there a button or switch ti the trunk. there is a blk\wht wire comming from it. in the haynes book on the electrical systems page, it says it goes to a program connector, what is that. and if there is no button, is it possable to wire one up my self

Mine has a button to pop the trunk.As long as the release is in there(where the black white wire goes),I would think that you could wire one up.
