Engine Problems?

I recently got my 97 Maxima SE with only 39K on the engine, but the engine sounds a lil bit like a type writer.. lol, and someone told me that it means that my "Lifters Are Tapping" and that my engine is going to give out in about 2 months... hmm can someone please shed some light on this issue thank you all in advance payce - OaT:confused:

yeah, my car does that too. :( I still am not fully sure why my lifters got all messed up. It just started one day. If the problem just started i would suggest putting a little thicker oil in it. This is suppose to help it(according to many people). However, it is really bad like mine, thicker oil wont really do much(15w-40 in it now)..As for the 2 month thing, i dont think that is true becuase mine has been like this for about a year now. I would suggest getting it fixed though, if the car is in good cond.

IM gonna have to have nissan fix it for free, or give me a new engine, i just bout the car 1 month ago from a Used Nissan Certified Dealer with 4 year lease still on it, if u want i will post what they told me so maybe that can help you also - OaT

im sorry i messed up, i meant to say with a 4 year warrantystill on it, i dunno i didnt talk to them yet, because of the long weekend i should be in contact with them tomorrow, i will let anybody who cares know.. iight im out Payce - OaT
