I dont know how many times I've searched this in many diffrent forums, and still have no solid leads. I dont know who i would talk to anyways. I guess i need to find someone who has done it, so that he can pass his knowledge on. I am trying to import a GTi-R to texas. I know a buddy who owns a shipping business, and can ship anything from or to anywhere. The thing is, when that car hits the border, reguardless of if i payed for it or not, customs is going to send it right back where it came form. So, who would i talk to about getting papers to TRY and do this? Maybe it goes state to state, cause i know and have read of people in the northern states, including alaska, where they just go by the next closest model for all important purposes, but that still doesnt halp me in the getting it in my possesion problem. Have any of you tried this? or do any of you know someone who has, i would really like the input. Maybe i should start off with like a lawyer or somthing, and have him draw somthing up.... I think this is going to cost more than ive been reading. Thanks guys
