Odd Problem?RichPorter 07-05-2005, 08:08 PM I have a 93 Sentra that was given to me. It's in good condition but the problem is, half of the key is stuck in the ignition. I guess that's why I got it for free. I don't have a replacement key, I only have the other half of the original. I can't get the other half out of the ignition. Any suggestions? Help? Please. nismo_pilot 07-05-2005, 08:34 PM melt some solder onto a paperclip tip, then while its still liquid push it up to the key half and let it cool, then pull it out.... RichPorter 07-05-2005, 08:36 PM melt some solder onto a paperclip tip, then while its still liquid push it up to the key half and let it cool, then pull it out.... I'll give that a shot. Thanks! nismo_pilot 07-05-2005, 08:36 PM no problem dude, if that doesnt work you may need to contact a dealership or a rebuild manual and figure out how to remove the locking mechanism and extract the key that way Andrewh 07-06-2005, 04:01 PM Go to a locksmith. There is a tool that looks like a pipe cleaner that will pull the rest of the key out for you. Most will do it for free. slideways... 07-08-2005, 03:48 AM or you can just buy a new ignition lock cylinder for like 20 bucks... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
