Heard there was a shark attack and a girl got killed. And that then they closed the beaches. Obviously, this happened in FLorida or I wouldn't be asking you.

oh my god i was asked about this all day at work. this happened 1/4 mile if that far away from the condo i work at. a buddy of mine was right that as she was brought to shore. she was 14 i think and the shark bit her twice and took of her leg she was dead before they got her to shore. the shark was a 10ft bull shark which is the second most aggressive shark from what ive heard. shit was nuts though they wouldnt let anyone in the water from the rest of the day but the beach was styill open cause they dont have land dwelling sharks from what ive heard. but shark attzcks are very rare around here though i havent heard about one in about 3 years.

Damn crazy shit, didnt know u would be that close to the attack. So the shark took off her leg and bit her somewhere else too? Im guessing she died from loss of blood from having your leg bitten off but where was the other bite?

BTW in case any one is thinking that Im an ass, this sucks and its not amusing just curious as this is some crazy shit.

Wow that really sucks....to be in something as fun and majestic as an ocean just to have some bastard shark come and end your life. one of these days they should make like buoys with nets hanging down so sharks cant come in and make the nets holes small enough to keep fishes from gettin stuck. yea it was wild um they way i heard it the shark bit her leg twice. i didnt get a chance to walk down there and check it out i was having to deal w/ a mass of people who were expecting me to be a shark expert. you would be amazed at how quickly word travels on the beach. i found out cause my friend who was there called me like immediatly after he saw it. then i told one person and next thing i know i have a group of people surrounding me asking ?'s

lots of flawed info. one she was brought in by a surfer she was dead by the time she got to shore its tough to swim ashore when you are dead. in walton county where this attack took place there has never been a shark attack repoted so this seldom happening stuff is dumb. i mean what the hell does a front desk worker know about what goes on at the beach. ok the attack that happened in p cola a few years back cant be classified as a shark attack some dumbass guy was chumming the water to attract sharks he for one made the water dangerous for everyone since he did this from shore and well basically you just dont surf fish and chum . the boy who was attacked was his nefew and its because the dumbass caught a shark and then just let it lay onshore alive . who does that kill that bitch or throw it back. so that boy was attacked by his and his uncles stupidity. numerous things could have happened to prevent that a shark biting someone once the shark has been caught and brought onshore is not a attack its a pissed of shark that just had a hook in its mouth id bite a person to

Florida is dangerous maybe tourist wont come here now and ill be able to drive to the beach w/o sitting in 45 min of traffic mainly surrounded by tahoes suburbans and navigators those seem to be the tourist cars of choice. oh and expeditions

Me and a few of my old skool surfer friends used to be scared as shit sitting out past the break waiting for swells.lol Esp since the only decent break around was like 100ft away from a fishing pier. usually, once every couple of times we would go surfing, we would hear someome yell shark. Damned if I wasn't the first one out of the water.haha

the second was 2 hours away from the first and that kid deserved to get bit. him and a few others were in chest deep water fishing w/ live bait when they knew sharks were in the area hell id bet they were shark fishing if they were shark fishing it is only fair that the sharks can people hunt for them. that kid is a dumbass let him get his foot bit again for all i give a damn. i have sympathy for the girl and her family, but none for this boy

no yeah it is true their nose is super sensitive if you get them there they really do get stunned. but their method of attack is to sneak up on you, so if you are in the position to just look at them and punch him in the nose, then you have probably already won because you are looking at them head-on. supposedly they are a lot less likely to attack if they know you know they are there.

I dont think that their nose is that sensitive cuz sharks always have scars and shit on their noses from hitting cages and just kinda "examining" shit, kinda like poking it around or trying to bite things. basically, I dont think a shark would be that fazed not to eat you if you hit it in the nose.

P.S. I dont think a shark gives a damn if you know that its gonna kill you, cuz it will kill you if it wants too.

Yeah now all you have to do is: When the Shark is charging you, swim out of the way while the shark is charging you at about 20mph, avoid the jaws, grab onto the gills, and pull and rip shit up while he's trying to eat your ass.

yeah but sharks really arent crazy murdering psychos. the part about losing the element of suprise is true. of course, if somehow the shark hasnt eaten in weeks, then it probably wont matter. but that is their way of hunting, sneaking up on shit. you can see it, there have been people that just swim with great whites, no shark cage, no spear guns, they are just in the water next to them. they see the shark, the shark sees them, and there are no attacks. i know those motherfucks is crazy though swimming with great whites with no shark cage.

I don't think sharks are so bad, they are hungry and if no fish around there is food near the beach. If you need money really bad and you had a choice to get them easily and illegaly (with very, very small chance of getting caught), or a choice of working your ass off for some money, which one would you chose?

well the girl got bit when shje was in the middle of a school of fish that the shark was feeding on so she was in the wrong place wrong time in a feeding frenzy kinda. but if i was about to get bit by a shark id call my local Flipper. i know all of u watched flipper when you were younger and saw him kick some shark ass

sharks are sweet ass creatures. I used to own one, granted he was only 2 ft. It was a california sand shark(smooth hound). But my uncle had 6, all over 3 ft in a 2 thousand gallon home-made pond in his basement. Was a 3 thousand gallon system all together. He donated them to the st.louis aquarium. Let me tell you a 3 ft shark is still somewhat scary, and can easily rip a finger or two off. Especially the nurse sharks(have to keep an eye out on them, they'll get your toes, there bottom dwellers), they just suck, then bite and crush all bones then tear(wtf how do you spell tear) off flesh. When it was feeding time, o boy it got wild. Splashing, jumping, it was like a discovery show. But a small shark is nothing to be affraid of, if its over 4-5 ft then i would get a bit scared, cuz thats more of a regular human size. But if youve been around them, you seem to be less afraid. Now im not claiming to be unaffraid, and would just jump in next to a 10 ft bull shark, fuck no dont get me wrong. But i would reach down and pet one.

FYI...just 100% trivial you do know the reason it becomes stunned is because the head or forehead of the Shark is malleable and hitting it hits their brain which is right there near the skins....or whatever their flesh is called...bottom.

Alright, Let me explain this...

He gave his AIM screen name for anybody to contact him. It's much easier to explain something to somebody who obviously doesn't know much about the subject in a one on one conversation. Rather than making fun of him. I took it upon myself to help him.

So what if he's 15. You were 15 once, I was 15 once. We gotta start somewhere. True his spelling and grammar are more to be desired. But, you can still make out what he's saying/asking.

I don't see the reason for the harshness. Unless, every post was like that. But, while talking to him AIM, in his profile or 'blog' entries are fairly well written and composed. So, maybe he's drunk... at 15... who knows.
