What is your average miles / kilometers per tank?

I have a TB 2002 LT, and when I fill it right up, I only get about 400 kilometers per tank (I live in Canada). I think that is about 240 miles per tank. This seems really low to me, especially since costs me $56 on average to fill up. Just wondering how many kilometers / miles everybody else averages per tank.

Yes, I get around 400-430 km per tank as well, though I use A/C a lot, i think almost 10 months. I live in Kuwait. But me no worries as it cost only US $0.22 cents a litre........ :naughty:

Almost the same here in Bahrain:

450km/70 liter, AC always on 2 (thanks to v-kool)
70 liter costs $18.52.

320 miles to the 18gal tank...although this question is kinda odd since there are three different sized tanks on the TB.

(sorry I'm from the US and we still don't use the "standard" metric system...feel free to convert it yourself though)

Just got from the smokey mountains and I averaged 23 mpg on the highway driving 70-75 mph(which is normal for me). Now up in the mountains, it was about 18 - 19 mpg. I have a 2003 6cyl.

Have a 03 TB LS w/K&N E1009 filter and getting 22MPH on Hwy for over 10K now. Was getting 19MPH, until I changed the air filter. No other changes, other than the drop in filter..

Alright... i'm pissed...
so no matter how gentle I drive, I only get 14 mpg.
Here is my breakdown...
I drive about 35 miles a day.
14 of that is hwy.
the other 21 miles if some residential driving, but not stop and go. I avg about 30-40 mph, I don't stomp on the accel.

I have tried all my hwy driving at 60 mph
What is my problem!!!!!

I'm getting a click over 21MPG with the V8...yes, you read that right!
Doing around 65-70MPH.
If I drop down to 55-60MPH I get anywhere around 22-23MPG which would translate into:

525 miles for a full tank if I got 21MPG.

Have to do what you can to get the mileage with the price of gas these days:mad:

I get about 20 mpg hwy and 13 city as well... although I wish it be higher, but given that my TB is the ext version and I have a 3.73 rear ratio, it's great I'm getting these high numbers. I've seen worse with others in the same Class.

I'm learning to be happy with what I have now. :screwy: feel better and drive happier. :grinyes:

now, August 15th, the low grade which I think is 85 octane, is $2.45/gallon in western New York state

as for my average per tank, it's about the same as my previous car. 300 miles or so. Although to do that means taking the guage closer to E than I normally like to so I normally fill back up around 250. City I average about 18mpg. I've gotten into the mid 20s the couple times I've done a full tank on the highway

I have a 2005 LS TB, with 2000 miles on it. Just took a 1500 mile round trip here in Texas and avg'ed 23.9 mpg with no/AC on first fill-up fairly level road 75mph . Hill country av'ed 21.6 with/AC 75 mph on second fill-up. In/around city av'ed 18.2. On return trip w/AC av'ed 20.9 mph. Going was from hi alt. to almost sea level. Used cruise control 99.9% of the time on the open road. Avg gas price $2.42/gal going $2.53 five days later coming back(same gas stations). I used 87 octane all the way. I have been av/ing between 16 and 18 in stop and go city driving, no rabbit starts. Loved the ride in the TB both city and freeway, steering takes some getting used to at first. No problems yet (fingers crossed)

Hello everyone, sorta new to this board, I used to be a Blazer reg. New 05 LS 2WD, (450 miles on odometer at start of trip) trip to Ohio from Chicago, a/c and cruise, 23.5 mpg, (tollway/turnpike 65-70 mph) return trip no a/c w/ cruise on US 70 and US 65 (avg. 70 mph) 24.2mpg. Rode great, no mods except cosmetic (bug shield, weather tech window deflectors) gotta say I'm very pleased with my new baby. Around town driving I'm between 16.9-19.2. Locally gas for reg. unleaded running 2.59-2.69 and higher in the city and suburbs close to city. :smokin:

I get about 360 miles out of a tank. (22 gallons)

My mileage is 17.5/18 mpg on regular roads doing 55, and I get 22/23 on freeway, doing 70.

YES, I drive with a light foot and 40 psi in the tires to get these numbers. But If you ramrod it around town, roaring away from stoplights , it will get 13 in town, like every other SUV out there.

Just bought an Ascender 2005 leftover with 4.2 I6 4x4 5 pass... went to DC on a road trip from CT and averaged about 19mpg (in a4wd for half the trip due to snow) using the old fashion way of miles / fuel as I don't have a trip computer option :-( I was getting about 340 miles a tank if that helps, driving about 65-70. It amazes how "slow" this engine turns at such speeds. my last truck (rodeo - 3.2 V6) would spin around 3200 rpm at 70 where this is about 2000 if not less.

Plus I hope it will get better as I only have about 1500 miles total... how many miles do these I6 engines take before they "break-in" I know the book says 500 miles but...
