security light stays on in dash

about a week ago my wife got in and the buick would not start up. the security light on the dash kept blinking, turn the key and nothing. no cranking or anything, we have a remote starter and using that did the trick, but now the light on the dash stays on all the time, where should i look for the fix?

what year is your car or do you know what pass key sys you have?
also how log ago did you install the remote starter.

It sounds like you have the common problem in the older cars. The igniton cylinder has 2 small wires attached and over time the wires break. All you need to do is replaced you ignition key cylinder which comes with new wires.
