Does anyone know how to reprogram the keyless entry remote for a 1998 Contour?

Cycle The Key 8 Times - The Doors Should Lock And Unlock And Then Press Any Button On The Remote - The Doors Should Again Lock And Unlock - Turn The Key Off And Done

Instructions:

Turn ignition to RUN or ACC. Momentarily jump pins located in programming connector behind glove box. The horn will chirp to confirm programming mode. Press any button on 1st transmitter. The horn will chirp to confirm programming. Press any button on 2nd transmitter ( up to 4 transmitters total possible). Turn ignition to OFF. The horn will chirp one last time to indicate end of programming mode.
